This shellfish has habitation in the sand mud flat of the coasts from the intertidal zone to depth of the water 20m. This shellfish comes to have very few individual classes. Because it was polluted by environmental endocrine disrupter such as the organotin that a habitation place is used for a ship."Ivory shell"or "Babylon" called "Bai gai" originally stings this seed in Japan. The height of the husk is around 6cm. The husk becomes "the top of this shellfish" called "Baigoma". |
