The present state (current as of December 31, 2008)
(1) Our fishermen's cooperative association is in the southernmost part
Misaki-cho of Osaka, and approximately 40 management bodies run fishery
now. The main fishery kind is ship seining fishery, small plane bottom
of a ship seining fishery, gill net fishery, small stationary fishing,
and the main fish class is a sand bar, a flatfish, a sea bream, an octopus.
(2)The number of the fishing boats is 77 ships in total, and, by the fishery kind distinction, ship seining fishery 12 ships, small plane bottom of a ship seining fishery 16 ships, gill net fishery 16 ships, others are 33 ships..
(3) After sand bars account for approximately two-thirds of all fishery tonnage,
and live fish, approximately 40% are landed as fresh fish, and the live
fish is a live fish water tank in disposal of goods facilities, and approximately
60% stocked it among fishery things except sand bars at one time, the fresh
fish is hung to the Japanese parsley after they were assorted by a fatty
tuna box, and the high-quality fish such as sea breams are shipped to the
area in Osaka-city, and other fish are used mainly in a hometown. After
sand bars were landed, they are shipped to the processor of Wakayama and
Awaji area mainly.
